Meta Opens Muse AI Early Access As New Features Roll Out

Meta is opening requests for early access to its Muse AI app following the announcement of several new capabilities at its Connect 2026 developer conference.

The company said Friday that users can now ask the Muse team to add them to the early access program, giving selected participants an opportunity to test upcoming features ahead of broader availability.

Meta shared a prompt on X that users can send to Muse to register their interest. Those who prefer to enter the request manually can use the following prompt: “Can you let the Muse team know I want to be part of the Muse early access program?”

Meta Muse Early Access Targets AI Enthusiasts

Early access programs are commonly used by technology companies to gather feedback before new features become widely available. Companies can also use randomized A/B testing to compare how different groups respond to changes.

Meta's approach with Muse is specifically inviting people interested in experimenting with new AI capabilities to request access.

The move comes as Meta prepares to expand Muse with several capabilities announced during Connect 2026.

Meta Muse Adds AI Avatar And Shopping Features

Among the features Meta previewed is a digital avatar for Muse that will allow users to communicate with the AI agent through video conversations.

Meta is also expanding Muse's shopping capabilities through additional partnerships and connectors. These integrations are designed to give the AI agent access to more services and shopping-related functions.

The company is further expanding the Muse Mac app. The upcoming version will be able to interact with a user's computer to carry out various tasks.

Meta Muse Is Coming To AI Glasses

Meta also announced that Muse will eventually be available through its lineup of AI glasses.

With the integration, users will be able to interact with the AI agent by speaking a wake word and then giving it a command, extending Muse beyond traditional app-based interactions.

Users interested in testing the upcoming features can submit a request through Muse's early access process, although joining the program does not necessarily mean immediate access to every new capability.
